Rare diseases affect 1 in 10 Americans, 30 million people in the United States, and 350 million people globally. Over 7,000 distinct rare diseases exist and approximately 80 percent are caused by faulty genes.
We are a nonprofit public charity organization dedicated to serving the rare disease community. Our history starts with the pursuit to serve the Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome community. In 2015, we expanded our mission to embrace other rare conditions to match the needs of the community.
